AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Clip for Episode 6, Titled FZZT

I really dislike ghost stories around a campfire.  That’s when my imagination really does a number on me.  So, seeing the following Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. video definitely reminds me of my youth and having to pretend that the crawling hand didn’t affect me.

Check out the clip after the jump.

AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Live Blog from New York Comic-Con

My friend Perri Nemiroff from Coming Soon was at the Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. panel at New York Comic-Con, where Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb, and actors Iain De Caestecker (Agent Fitz) and Elizabeth Henstridge (Agent Simmons), were present to answer fan questions.  Perri spent the time live blogging it, and here’s some highlights from that panel:

Perri: Someone asks if we’re going to get more backstory. Henstridge says that now that they have more episodes, it’s coming.

Perri: Loeb warns that you never know what could happen to these characters – someone could get killed at anytime.

Perri: Loeb notes, “As you can imagine, by the time we finish 22 episodes, we’ll have told more stories …” than they have in the Marvel cinematic universe.

Perri: Loeb also just revealed that a new character introduced in episode four is going to be a recurring character.

Perri: Wait until you guys see what she looks like at the end of it. Could be an interesting connection to another Marvel character.

Perri: Loeb says we’ll learn more about Agent May and Skye’s story, too. “Hang on. It’s coming.”

Perri: Any chance we’ll get guest appearance from the Avengers.? Loeb says, “If somebody wants to come play …” they’ll figure out how to make it happen.

AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Draws in Big Numbers for Friday Showing in U.K.

Looks like not only did Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. pull in strong numbers in the U.S., but it also did so in the U.K., on a Friday night.

The broadcaster said Saturday that the Friday 8 p.m. debut averaged 3.1 million viewers, or a share of 14.2 percent of people watching TV in the U.K. at the time. That is above the time slot’s typical performance for the network.

The show also “drew the largest share of 16-34 year olds from 8-9 p.m … with a 27 percent share,” the network said.

It’s a great start, and let’s hope they continue to improve.

Clip from Episode 2 of AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D., and Still Images

Check out the synopsis and clip of episode 2 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., titled “0-8-4.”

The clip shows the concern of recruiting a non-agent type hacker onto the team:

Here’s the synopsis, with still images after the jump:

Coulson and his S.H.I.E.L.D. agents travel to Peru to investigate an object of unknown origin, codenamed 0-8-4. But when he runs into Comandante Camilla Reyes, more than just sparks fly at 30,000 feet

Ruth Negga Lands Recurring Role in AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.

When I saw a picture of Ruth Negga, I thought, hmm, she looks like the ‘transporter’ girl from Misfits.  Then I realized that she was the transporter girl from Misfits.

Of course, Ruth has been in other shows and movies, including with Brad Pitt in World War Z.  And now, she’ll be making a few appearances in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. this season.

Black Film broke the news, saying Negga will play a mystery role in a recurring arc on “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD.” She definitely doesn’t appear in the pilot episode, so Negga will likely make her debut a few episodes in to Season 1.

Marvel’s AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. to Make Presence at New York Comic-Con

Not surprisingly, there’s going to be a ton of stuff for those who are hungry for more of the new show, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., at New York Comic-Con.  It hasn’t been said if or who of the cast will be there, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they were all there.  At least Lola’s going to be there.

First, visit the Marvel Booth (#1354) beginning on Friday, October 11 for a chance to (almost) touch Lola! That’s right, the iconic vehicle of Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) will be on display for the first time ever to the public and this is your once-in-a-lifetime chance to see–and be photographed with–a piece of Marvel history! Plus, fans can pick up an exclusive “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” mini-poster (while supplies last) in the Marvel Booth to show their support for everyone’s favorite elite international agents.

Then, on Saturday, October 12 at 5:00 p.m. ET in the Main Theater, join Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb for the “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” on ABC panel for your first look at new footage from the series and access to exclusive news before anyone else!

“New York is the birthplace of Marvel and home to some of our greatest fans, so we’re bringing them an awesome ‘Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ experience!” said Loeb. “Not only do you get a Level 7 sneak peek at the future of ‘Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ at New York Comic Con, along with a few more surprises you’ll hear about pretty soon, you’ll also get to see Lola in person for the first time ever! Just don’t let Coulson see you trying to take her for a ride!”

“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” the first live-action television series from the House of Ideas, premieres Tuesday, September 24 (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET), on the ABC Television Network. This dynamic, action-packed one-hour drama brings back Agent Phil Coulson to lead a team of highly skilled agents with one mission: To investigate the new, the strange and the unknown around the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary.

Sadly, at posting time, only Thursday tickets are still available for the New York Comic-Con.  For those of you going, don’t touch Lola.
